Must be a resident of Marshall County, attend a college, university, or technical school, and be majoring in a qualifying healthcare profession which could be Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Pre-Med, or Pre-Dental.

 

Beatrice Goss Scholarship Fund   *New for 2012 $500

Must be a resident of Marshall County and be attending a college, university, vocational school, or private study program.  The award will be based upon academic record, character, financial need, and musical ability (when applicable).       

 

Craig Wolfington Memorial Scholarship $1000

Must be a permanent resident of Marshall County and in the graduating class of 2012. Applicant must be attending Purdue University (full-time) in the Fall of 2012. Must be in the top 25% of class and must demonstrate participation in school and extra-curricular activities.

 

Crystal M. Metsker Scholarship $750

Two scholarships are given each year, one to a boy and one two a girl. Applicants must attend an accredited university, trade or vocational school in Indiana.

 

Delta Theta Tau Scholarship $1000

Two are given. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college, school, of nursing, or vocational school in Indiana next year.

 

Ed Cook Memorial Scholarship $500

Must be planning advanced education in Government, Political Science, or Law Enforcement.

 

Fraternal Order of Police Scholarship $250

Must be enrolled in a Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement field. Applicants must be residents of Marshall County.

 

Herschell J. Umbaugh Memorial Scholarship $2000

Must be considering a college major in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
Must have a minimum GPA of 10.5 (12.0 scale)

 

Juan Marquez Memorial Scholarship $1000

Must be an outstanding Latino or Latina who is going on to college or an accredited vocational school.

Scholarship awarded to an outstanding athlete, male or female, from PHS. 
Money to be used for higher education expenses

Kiwanis Vocational Scholarship $1000

Knights of Columbus $500

Given to a senior who is a practicing Catholic active in St. Michaels or St. Mary's of the Lake Parish. Must be applied towards an accredited college, university, trade or technical school in 2011/2012 school year.

 

Kristina Vegso French Club Scholarship $300

Must have participated in French class and club in high school for a minimum of 3 years.

Must have plans to continue the study of French in college or a related field.

 

Marian and Stephen Wayne Munn Agriculture Scholarship $ Varies

Marohn Scholarship $500

Three are given. Must be applied towards expenses in an accredited trade or technical school. Show proof of acceptance into a post-secondary school that is goal oriented in the Vocational Trades area. Applicants must be resident of an attend a Marshall County high school.

 

Marshall County Blueberry Festival Scholarship  *New for 2012 $500
Use Common Application
2 Scholarships will be awarded.  $500 will be awarded to a 2 or 4 yr. Ancilla College student.  The other $500 will be awarded to a student will be enrolled in a trade school for the Fall of 2012.  Both scholarships will be based on high school performance and service to the community.

 

Marshall County Extension Homemaker Organization Scholarship $150

Must be planning to further his/her studies in Consumer and Family Sciences or a related field.

 

Mary Ellen Winquist Franklin & Jo Franklin $500

Must be active in student government and student activities. Must be attending an accredited Indiana college or technical college.

 

Mattix Scholarship ($ Varies)

Use Common Application

Students must rank below the top 10% of class. Preference is given to students who will be attending an accredited vocational school. Students planning to attend a college or university may also apply.

 

Nancy Jaynes Scholarship Fund $300

Use Common Application

Must plan to further his/her studies in Family and Consumer Science or Culinary Arts at an accredited public or private institution of higher learning. Must possess a positive attitude with a compassion for helping others. Preference will be given to a student who participates in community service related to cancer awareness.

 

Ounce of Prevention Scholarship  *New for 2012    $1,000 (renewable)

This scholarship is to benefit anyone who has been touched by cancer or has been an active volunteer for the “Ounce Of Prevention Breast Cancer Fund” in Plymouth, IN.  Must be enrolled at an accredited college, university, trade or vocational school for the Fall of 2012.

 

Pauline Hoffman Memorial Scholarship   *New for 2012  $500

Must be a graduating female with a B average and strong participation in the community.  Must be attending an accredited college, university, or technical school.  This award is sponsored by the Plymouth PEO, Chapter B.

 

Payne Stewart/Plymouth Country Club Memorial Scholarship      $500

Must be active in school/community; must have a minimum of “C” average; must have completed minimum of two athletic seasons on the high school golf team during high school career and have not committed any violations of IHSAA or School’s Code of Conduct.

 

Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship $500

Must be attending an accredited college, university trade or technical school in the State of Indiana.

 

Plymouth Board of School Trustees Scholarship $500

Given to a student who has attended the Alternative School and will receive a diploma from Plymouth High School. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited business school, vocational school, junior college or college.

 

Plymouth Aquatics Club Scholarship $250
Has attachment
Minimum of 2 scholarships given; nonrenewable. To be applied towards higher education expenses. Must be a member of a swim club.

Plymouth Firemen's Memorial Scholarship  $1000

Must plan to attend an accredited college, university, school of nursing or vocational   school.

 

Plymouth High School Building Trades Scholarship  $ Varies

Must have been in the building trades program or in secondary industrial education and is in pursuit of postsecondary education in the construction field. 

 

Plymouth High School Business Professionals of America $250

Given to 2 students who are attending a 2-4 year college and majoring in business. Must have been involved with Business Professionals of America.

 

Plymouth High School Spanish Club Scholarship   $ Varies

Must be attending an accredited college, university, school of nursing or technical  school. 
Applicants must have taken Spanish class and currently be a member of PHS Spanish Club

 

Plymouth High School Theatre Department - Acting Scholarship    $500

Must have a minimum of 6 credits in the Acting level classes.  (Does not include either of the two beginning theatre classes.)  Must have acted in a minimum of 2 children’s show performances.  (Does not include performing in beginning theatre class.)

 

Plymouth High School Theatre Department -  Stage Crew Scholarship     $500

Must have a minimum of 6 credits in Stage Crew classes.(Does not include the beginning technical theatre class.)  Must have crewed for a minimum of 2 children’s show performances.  (Does not include crewing for the beginning technical theatre class.)

 

Plymouth Lions Club Scholarship   Minimum of $500

Must be attending an accredited college, university, school of nursing, or technical  school.

 

Plymouth Optimist Club Scholarship     $750

Use Common Application

Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college, university, school of nursing or vocational school. Applicants must be a Plymouth High School recipient. Must earn a Core 40 or Academic Honors Diploma. Must be in the top 1/3 of the class. Consideration will be given to academic success, character, financial need, and Service PHS and the community.

 

Plymouth Rotary Club Vocational Scholarship    $1000

Must be attending an accredited vocational, technical, or nursing school. Three scholarships awarded.

 

Staff Sergeant Justin DeCrow Scholarship  *New for 2012 $250
Use Common Application
Must be a senior with a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher and must have Community Service experience.  This scholarship is non-renewable and to be used for higher education expenses. 

 

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center Plymouth Campus Health Care Scholarship       $1500

Students must attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college, school of nursing or technical school and be majoring in a healthcare profession.

 

St. Michael School Athletic Scholarship *New for 2012   $1000
Has attachment
Open to Plymouth High School Seniors planning to attend an accredited college/university or trade school.  Applicants must have attended St. Michael School and participated in at least 1 Inter-City Catholic League (ICCL) sport.

 

Sunkin Ditch Golf Scholarship  *New for 2012  Minimum of $100 (depending on # of applicants)

Must be a senior who has a minimum B average; Must be accepted into an accredited college or continued education.  Must have participated on the Varsity Golf team for a minimum of 2 years with verification to be supplied by the Golf coach or local golf course professional.

 

Three C’s Memorial Scholarship      $1000

Must be active in the school & community.  Must have a GPA of a 7.9 and have completed six athletic seasons during high school as an athlete, trainer, manager, cheerleader,  etc. 

 

Timothy J. Hochstetler Scholarship  $500
Use Common Application    
Award must be applied towards expenses in an accredited college or institution of advanced training.  2 scholarships will be awarded to either a senior male or female who has shown outstanding performance in athletics.  Male applicants must letter in baseball, football or wrestling.  Female applicants must letter in any sport.

 

Todd Edwards Memorial Scholarship    $500

Preference is given to students who have taken art and music classes. 
Applicants must  plan to attend a 4 year college or art school.

 

Tom Dulle Achievement Scholarship    $500

Will be awarded to a special education student. Used for additional training after high school, such as a trade school, technical program, junior college, college or  university.

 

Tri-Kappa Majorie Giffen Carothers Memorial Scholarship  $1000 ($500 per semester)

Plans to major in education; an involvement in Art Club or having taken additional art classes, a plus.

 

Tri-Kappa Katherine E. Garn Scholarship  $1000 ($500 per semester)

Strong academic standing; active in a service organization/club in HS; prefer participation in Junior State of America, and/or pursuing major in political science, government, or education

 

Tri-Kappa Judy Guild Honorary Scholarship       $1000 ($500 per semester)

Tri-Kappa Margaret Sherwood: $1000 ($500 per semester)

Applicant must have a Tri Kappa relative; having extensive community service, and participation in Heart Club (Home Economics Activities – Related to Today), a plus

 

Walter A. Glaub/MCIA Scholarship       $1000

Given to a Marshall County high school senior.  Applicants must plan to attend an accredited  college, trade or technical school during the coming school year.

 

Webster Elementary PTO Scholarship    $250

Must have attended Webster Elementary School for 4 out of 5 years. Applicant must plan  to attend a technical school, 2 yr or 4 yr college or university.  

 

William E. Shemberger Music Scholarship     $1000

Use Common Application

Must be attending an accredited college or institution of advanced training.   Applicants must have shown outstanding abilities in the area of instrumental music.
